Toms River Mom Helped Family Through Chronic Illness, Surgeries

TOMS RIVER, NJ— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your mom extra special?

My mom is always available to help me take care of my family. I have a child with a chronic illness. My husband and I have both had surgeries this year. I started a new job and was unable to take my child to doctors' appointments and tend to her needs. She has been very helpful. She is always available to me and my family to help us. We would not have made it without her.

Why do you feel your mom deserves the spotlight?

My mom deserves the spotlight because I want everyone to know how much we love her!
