SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ — Authorities are urging drivers to avoid going to Seaside Heights on Friday afternoon due to traffic signal outages on Route 37 and Route 35.

The sheriff's office issued an alert earlier Friday afternoon about a crash in Seaside Heights causing an outage.

First Energy's outage map shows about 1,200 customers without electricity in the Toms River/Seaside Heights area, with an approximate restoration of 4:30 p.m.
