Enjoy dinner and a local cabaret
Dine and enjoy the Broadway Split Cabaret as the Harbor Stage Theatre Company performs Friday evening at the Captain's Inn, 304 E. Lacey Road in Lacey. The first half of the show features classic Broadway songs. The second half features the cast singing songs from roles that they would never be cast in, with some hilarious outcomes. The meal is served buffet-style and the menu includes Asian-style salad, blackened grouper, grilled chicken, steak teriyaki, seasoned potato, pasta and vegetable sides. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $60 per person and can be purchased here.

Food trucks, vendors and live entertainment will fill Washington Street in Toms River on Saturday. The Summer in the Street festival, from noon to 6 p.m., is hosted by the Downtown Toms River Business Improvement District. Lavallette is holding its Summer Evening Concert Series on Sunday at the gazebo on Bay Boulevard. Bring seating and come listen to the sounds of Underwater Airlines, a classic rock four-piece band playing songs you love to hear from the '60s, '70s and '80s. The concert begins at 7 p.m.

Titan Championship Wrestling presents American Spirit live on Saturday at the Bayville Elks Lodge, 247 Route 9, Bayville. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the first bell time is at 7 p.m. There are several bouts on the schedule, including heavyweight and middleweight championship bouts, a pair of three-way Triple Threat bouts, a Goddess Championship and a tag-team match to close out the card. Tickets start at $20 and more information is available on www.titan-championshipwrestling.com.
Chill in the heat with Christmas in July
Bring your children for a visit Sunday with the Grinch and Mrs. Claus at the Christmas in July event at Veterans Park, just east of Central Regional High School in Bayville. The event, sponsored by the Toms River Macaroni Kid and the Chubby Penguin, will have activities including a candy cane hunt, cookie and ornament decorating and, weather permitting, a Santa Claus bounce house. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time at the Toms River Macaroni Kid website. There are openings at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
