Grab a burger at the American Legion

The American Legion Post 129 is hosting its annual 4th Of July picnic and barbecue from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at the post, 2025 Church Road, Toms River. The picnic is open to the public. Tickets are $20 at the door and that includes hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecue chicken and salads, cash bar. Entertainment By WILD ROSE, 50/50s and super 50/50s. Picnic presented by Post 129 Legionnaires, Auxiliary, SAL, & Riders. Call 732-255-9250 for information.

Check out local artists and the Toms River Seaport

The Toms River Artist Community and the Toms River Seaport are teaming up for an event Saturday at the seaport, 78 E. Water St. There will be more than 18 artists set up. The Seaport will be open for museum tours and the gift shop will be open as well. The event begins at 10 a.m.

Music, food trucks and wine

Laurita Winery in Plumsted is hosting a 4th of July Food Truck Fair at the winery, 85 Archertown Road. The event begins at 3:15 p.m. and includes a performance by the Shore Bet Band. Classic rock, pop, country and more.

Sing Disney tunes and eat ice cream

The Music Man Singing Ice Cream Shoppe in Lavallette, where the sundaes are served with a big helping of musical theatre, will be hosting a Disney Sing-a-Long from 5 p.m.-6 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The show will feature the songs of Frozen and other Disney favorites. The ice cream shoppe is at 2305 Grand Central Ave. in Lavallette.

Check out a car and truck show

Breakers Kitchen & Tap in Waretown is hosting the second annual Cars & Stripes Charity Car & Truck Show from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The show is open to all makes and models and all years of cars and trucks. $20 per vehicle day of show, space limited to 125 vehicles. All proceeds benefit Jersey Shore Car Shows Foundation Charities. Live music from Shayd's of Gray. DJ "Big Al" Spinning your favorite tunes! Trophies and awards, car hop service and more.
