Many towns are selling beach badges at holiday discounts. See where to get them early for the 2025 beach season.
NEW JERSEY — Summer may seem far away, but if you want to give your family a reminder that warm days are coming, beach badges are a good start.
Many New Jersey beach towns offer season beach badges for sale during the holidays at a discounted price. If you want to get a jump on summer, here is a list of towns where you can buy beach badges now.

2025 season beach badges are for sale and cost $75 for those ages 12 through 64. More information is on the Sea Bright website.

Season beach badges for 2025 are on sale and are $105 per person for the beach only. Additional fee information is on the borough website.
Season beach badges for the Long Branch municipal beaches are on sale through Jan. 31 at the city's Recreation Center, 231 Wilbur Ray Ave., on weekdays. The discounted price for 2025 badges is $45 for adults (18-61) and $25 for students (14-17). No badge is required for 13 and under and for 62 and above. Access to beach is free with ID. Payment is cash or credit.
Asbury Park is selling gift certificates that can be redeemed for season beach badges when beach season begins in May. The gift certificates can be purchased at City Hall, 1 Municipal Plaza, through Saturday, Dec. 21, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday. The gift certificates are $70 for adult season badges, and $20 for seniors age 62 or older and teens ages 13 to 27. Credit card or check only, no cash. For questions, call 732-775-2100.
Holiday badges are on sale through Dec. 31 in Ocean Grove. Adult badges are $90 until Dec. 31, and youth/senior badges are $52. They can be purchased online and either picked up in person or you can request they be mailed to you for an additional $10 fee to cover certified mail.
2025 beach badges are on sale weekdays at the Borough Office, 301 Main St., through Dec 23, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Check or cash only. If you are purchasing with a check, please have your driver's license and phone number on the check. Adult badges are $100, senior and youth badges are $55; proof of age is needed to buy a senior badge (a photo of a driver's license is acceptable).
Beach badges for 2025 in Bradley Beach can be purchased in person for cash or check only. They also can be purchased online; enter Bradley Beach as your community organization and follow the prompts. Season badges are $90 for adults, $35 for 65 and older or teens ages 13 to 15. Check the borough website for more information.
2025 beach badges are on sale now for $80 for adults, $32 for those 65 and over with identification verifying age. They do not appear to offer a holiday discount. Badges can be purchased online at belmarbeachbadges.com, by texting "Badges" to 44622, or by scanning a QR code. They can be picked up in person at the Taylor Pavilion. Sea Girt's 2025 holiday beach badge sale ends Wednesday, Dec. 18 and beach badge sales resume in the spring. The beach opens weekends starting Memorial Day weekend then is open daily beginning June 15 through Sept. 2. Season badges are $115, seniors 65 and older are $20.Badges can be purchased online on the borough website.

Beach badges for the 2025 season in Brick can be purchased online or in person at the Recreation Center office at Civic Plaza, 270 Chambers Bridge Road. Season badges are $30 and season parking passes are $30. If buying in person or picking up, the hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Online purchases are made through Community Pass.
Season badges for 2025 are on sale now at Lavallette Borough Hall, 1306 Grand Central Ave., on a walk-in basis only. Cash, check or credit accepted. Badges are $60 per person, $20 for those 65 and older, Children 12 and under, veterans of any military service and all active-duty military service personnel are free. The badge sales are 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21.
Season badges for 2025 in Seaside Heights can be purchased online for $56.90 including all fees, or $15.76 for those 65 and older, or purchased in person at the Beach Control Office located on the Boardwalk at Kearney Avenue, on Saturday, Dec. 21, and Sunday, Dec. 22, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Badges purchased online can be picked up on Saturday and Sunday as well. Beach admission is free for children 11 and younger and for active and retired military personnel and their dependents, with the appropriate Common Access Card, Uniformed Services ID Card, DD Form 214, or Veterans Benefit ID card issued by the VA.
Holiday beach badges for the 2025 season in Seaside Park are available for purchase online. The holiday price is $60, $20 for those 65 or older with valid ID. They can be purchased in person in the lobby at Borough Hall, 1701 North Ocean Ave., on Saturday, Dec. 21 and Sunday, Dec. 22 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. A convenience fee will be added to all credit card purchases. Badges purchased online can be picked up Saturday and Sunday as well.
The 2025 season beach badges for Barnegat Light are on sale for $40 and can be purchased in person at borough hall, 10 E 7th St., Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Holiday packaging is available for $2 more (while supplies last). Season badges for those 65 or older are $12 and must be purchased in person. Children 11 and under are free.
LOVELADIES (See Long Beach Township below)
Holiday season badges are $35 and can be purchased in person at Borough Hall, 7606 Long Beach Blvd., 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or ordered by mail. Download the form from the Harvey Cedars website here. Badges ordered by mail must be picked up at Borough Hall.
2025 holiday season badges are on sale for $42 in Ship Bottom, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday in the second floor clerk's office at borough hall, 1621 Long Beach Blvd. Each badge comes in a gift box with a bow. Cash, check, credit or debit accepted, a convenience fee is charged on credit/debit purchases.
Holiday-themed season badges for Long Beach Township are on sale through Dec. 31 and are $40, $5 for those 65 and older. Free badges for the military and veterans are available with ID. Badges can be purchased at the 68th Street office in Brant Beach. The badges are good in the following sections of Long Beach Township: Loveladies, North Beach, Brant Beach, Beach Haven Crest, Spray Beach and Holgate. Badges are free for children 11 and younger and the township offers free lifetime military veteran beach badges (proof of service must be supplied). Sales window hours are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, through Dec. 30. On Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Tuesday, Dec. 31 the hours are 9 a.m.-noon and the office is closed on Christmas.
Holiday-themed beach badges for the 2025 season in Beach Haven are on sale while supplies last for $40 and can be purchased in person the municipal clerk's office Borough Hall, 300 Engleside Ave., 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Cash, check, or credit/debit card (processing fee applied for credit/debit purchases). The badges can be ordered by mail, paying by check (CLICK HERE FOR THE FORM) or online via credit card; REMEMBER TO PRINT YOUR RECEIPT (CLICK HERE TO PAY ONLINE). Badges ordered by mail or online must be picked up in the clerk's office at borough hall, ID is required.
Holiday-themed season badges for Brigantine can be ordered online through the Jersey Cape Tags website. The badges are $21.76, including processing fees. The badges will be mailed to your home.
Season beach badges for 2025 for Ventnor and Margate, which have a reciprocal tag agreement, can be purchased through the Jersey Cape Tags website. They are $11.18 per person, including processing fees, and will be mailed to your home. Tags also can be purchased at Ventnor City Hall in the clerk's office, 6201 Atlantic Ave., 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Season beach badges for 2025 for Margate and Ventnor, which have a reciprocal tag agreement, can be purchased through the Jersey Cape Tags website. They are $11.18 per person, including processing fees, and will be mailed to your home.
Holiday season beach tags are on sale in Longport for $25 each, $15 each for senior tags. The tags must be purchased in person at borough hall, 2305 Atlantic Ave., 2305 Atlantic Ave., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.

They can be purchased at City Hall, 861 Asbury Ave., from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday; at the Route 52 Welcome Center from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; at the Henry Knight Building, 12th Street and Haven Avenue, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; Aquatic & Fitness Center, 17th Street and Simpson Avenue, 5 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, and 46th Street Welcome Center, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday to Sunday. They also can be purchased online and picked up.
Holiday beach tags for Sea Isle City are $25 and can be purchased in person at the City Hall Tax Office, 233 JFK Blvd., 2nd Floor, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., except on holidays. Payment is by cash or check. They also can be purchased from Sea Isle City’s vending machine, located in the lobby of City Hall, which is accessible 24/7. The vending machine accepts cash only (ones, 5s, 10s and 20s). Please use exact change. The holiday (and autumn) tags can be purchased onlinevia the Jersey Cape Tags; processing fees apply.
Holiday-themed season beach tags for Avalon can be purchased online at Jersey Cape Tags and mailed to your home. The tags are $34.46 including processing fees. Avalon and Stone Harbor have a reciprocal beach tag agreement, so tags are good in both communities.

Cape May City holiday season beach tags can be purchased online through Jersey Cape Tags and are $30 each, plus processing fees. They will be shipped directly to your home. Children 11 and younger are free. Active duty military, their spouses and dependent children can receive free beach tags; the military member must be present at the time of pick-up, and have proper ID. Veterans are eligible for free beach tags with proper ID.
They also can be purchased weekdays at the City Hall Tax Office, 643 Washington St., Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. They accept cash or check only at City Hall.
