Winter Storm Warning Issued For Ocean County: Heavy Snow, Wind
The National Weather Service warns is predicting at least 4 inches of snow for much of the county, and wind gusts to 35 mph on Monday.

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — Buckle up, Ocean County: It looks like we're going to get some snow.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Ocean County for Monday, with the potential for at least 4 inches of snow across most of the county. The warning is in effect from 4 a.m. Monday to 4 p.m.
Ocean County and southern New Jersey are expected to pick up the brunt of an incoming winter storm that is anticipated to arrive overnight.

Temperatures that have hovered in the 50s all weekend will plummet, dropping into the freezing range by 2 a.m.
" Rain will quickly transition to snow late tonight, with mostly snow after 4 a.m.," the weather service said in a forecast update on the Mount Holly office's Facebook page. "This will lead to a disruptive morning commute."

The heaviest snowfall is expected southeast of the Interstate 95 corridor, the weather service said.
In addition to heavy snow, wind gusting to 35 mph is expected, the service said.
"Travel could be very difficult," the weather service said. "The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute."
The forecast has prompted officials in some towns to remind residents to park vehicles off the streets so plows can get through.
The National Weather Service urges anyone who must travel to carry an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
