Bloomingdale Police Revive 32-Year-Old Resident With Naloxone
On Oct. 13, Bloomingdale police administered a Naloxone dosage to revive a 32-year-old resident, authorities said.

BLOOMINGDALE, N.J.– Bloomingdale police officers on Oct. 13 revived a 32-year-old resident by administering a Naloxone dosage, authorities said.
Officers sprayed the substance into the man's nose to counteract a suspected opioid overdose, according to Bloomingdale Police Chief Joseph Borell.
The man was unresponsive and breathing slowly when police arrived, Borell said.

Since 2014, members of law enforcement in Passaic County have received training in the administration of Naloxone to respond to suspected opiate overdoses, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes. This was the 69th Naloxone deployment in Passaic County this year, she added.
