Helicopter Santa to Fly Into Bloomingdale

All three boroughs schedule holiday events.

Santa Claus will not be riding a sleigh into Bloomingdale but a helicopter instead as the man in red will land in the borough on Dec. 9.

The holiday festivities will be held at the Walter T. Bergen School beginning at 2:30 p.m. Bloomingdale Recreation Director Gail Galbraith described the event.

"Music, crafts, carnival games, characters, horse and buggy (weather permitting) and, of course, Santa in a helicopter!" she said.

Butler will be hosting its own park lighting event at the Butler Park on Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. Attendees will have a chance to talk to Santa and Mrs. Claus and see the park illuminated.

Kinnelon will also be hosting a holiday celebration this year and will invite residents to the Kinnelon Municipal Building for refreshments, a holiday concert by the Kinnelon High School Choir and a visit from Santa Claus.
