Latest Coronavirus Cases, Spikes In Butler, Kinnelon

More and more New Jersey towns now rank high on New Jersey's coronavirus case and fatality list. And even with declining case rates, a number of communities that were not in the crisis's epicenter in March – or even in June, before the summer ramped up – have experienced spikes since the virus has spread to more rural, suburban and beach communities.

Over the past two months, the per-capita rates in bucolic, middle-to upper-income towns such as Deal and Paramus have become among the highest in New Jersey. The disease is virtually everywhere — 559 of New Jersey's 565 communities have it.

From July 4 though Aug. 23 Butler saw an 15.96 percent case increase. Over the same time period, Butler showed 109 cases.

From July 4 though Aug. 23 Kinnelon saw an 31.43 percent case increase. Over the same time period, Kinnelon showed 92 cases.
