Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore Wants You to Join the Fun
Summer may have ended, but girls can still have fun by joining their local Girl Scouts!

Summer may have come to an end, but for Girl Scouts, it marks the beginning of a new year full of wonder, knowledge and excitement. Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore is looking for more girls and volunteers to enrich its already fantastic network, ready to shape the next generation of female leaders.
Girl Scouting teaches girls to take action: for themselves, their communities and the world. By giving them different perspectives and opportunities to make a difference, Girl Scouts inspires girls to give back and share the good. With generations of proactive, passionate women, Girl Scouts is helping girls to make the world a better place.
“When my now 18-year-old daughter was six, she decided then to earn her Girl Scout Gold Award,” said Joy Calogero, Marlboro. “She is a goal-driven young woman and Girl Scouts helped her every step of the way. She finished her goal, and now is a freshman in college and a lifetime Girl Scout member.”

The results of a recent survey conducted by Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) concluded that 97% of girls have had fun and exciting new experiences while participating in the Girl Scouts. Wouldn’t it be great if more girls could be part of experiences like the Girl Scouts? In order to guarantee this, we need even more volunteers to accommodate the growing list of girls looking to become Girl Scouts.
Girls need a place to try new things and be themselves. At Girl Scouts, they bring the imagination and we bring the encouragement. With volunteers at their side, girls can explore every dream, discover what they love and learn the skills that will set them up for life.

Volunteers are instrumental in fostering a community of discovery and support. Because of them, girls come together, share stories and experiences, and make new friends to last a lifetime.
Girl Scouts is open to all girls from kindergarten through grade 12. Adults over age 18 may become volunteers; both girls and adults volunteers can join at any time of the year. To join or volunteer, please visit: www.girlscoutsjs.org/join.
