Harold George Hodousek, 81, of Manasquan, NJ, formerly of Matawan, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Bayshore Health Care Center in Holmdel.
Harold was born in Long Island City, NY, grew up in Jersey City and graduated from the Academy of Aeronautics in Queens, NY. He was then drafted into the United States Navy, where he was an aircraft mechanic in charge of maintenance at the Naval Air Station in Norfolk, VA.

Harold married his high school sweetheart, Lois, in 1958. They moved to Matawan in 1964 and resided there for 42 years to raise their family. He was as a Senior Publications Engineer -Tech Writer for Weston Industries, Fedders Corporation and Bendix/Allied Signal, specializing in the aerospace industry. His passions were model aviation, collecting music and reading. He was also an avid cat lover.
Harold is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Lois; his three loving sons, Steven and his wife Debi of Pomona, NJ, Gary and his wife Cheryl of Howell, NJ and Jeffrey and his wife Monica of Lewisville, NC; and his six cherished grandchildren, Carrie, Stephanie, Bradley, Evan, Hannah and Rebecca. He is also survived by a niece and two nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6 Osborne Ave. Manasquan, NJ. Committal will follow in the columbarium. Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, 39 South Street, Manasquan, NJ is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
