Indictment: Resident Distributed Anxiety Drug
Grand jury levies four charges against Wall woman

A Wall woman faces multiple charges of possessing and distributing a prescription drug, according to an indictment handed up by a Superior Court grand jury Wednesday.
Jessica Mabie, 25, of Tarpon Drive, is charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute and two counts of distribution in connection with two alleged incidents with an undercover Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office detective in Spring Lake Heights and Wall.
The grand jury found that sufficient evidence exists to charge Mabie with possessing and distributing clonazepam to an undercover detective on May 25. The resident again allegedly tried to sell the drug to the same detective less than a month later, on June 23, in Wall, the indictment charged.

Clonazepam is a prescription drug said to be addictive that is generally used by medical professionals to treat certain seizures and panic attacks. The Drug Enforcement Agency classifies clonazepam as a schedule IV drug and states that daily use of even therapeutic doses is associated with amnesia, hostility, irritability and vivid or disturbing dreams. Withdrawal symptoms are similar to those produced by alcohol, according to the DEA.
The four charges levied against Mabie are all third-degree crimes.
