Man Stabbed Repeatedly Over Cell Phone Dispute, Wall Police Say
Police found the victim with multiple stab wounds to his stomach and back.
WALL, NJ — An Eatontown man was arrested after a stabbing Sunday morning at the Economy Inn Motel on Route 35 that was prompted by a fight over a cell phone, Wall Police said.
Eatontown resident Geraldo Voglino, 37, was arrested after stabbing a 50-year-old man from Hampton, Virginia multiple times with a knife and then fleeing the scene, police said.
Voglino and the Virginia resident got into a dispute over a cell phone, police said.

Police arrived at the motel at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday after receiving reports of a man being stabbed multiple times. Police found the victim with multiple stab wounds to his mid-section and back, and the victim was rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
According to police reports, Voglino fled the scene immediately after the incident and was arrested at a home on Barker Avenue in Shrewsbury Township at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Voglino was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, burglary with a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose. He was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold to await court proceedings.
Police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
