RFK, Jr. is Unsuitable to head Department of Health and Human Services

Having been fortunate enough to personally attend both Mr Kennedy’s hearings this week for his nomination for Secretary of Health and Human Services with NURSES FOR AMERICA and PROTECT OUR CARE, I witnessed first hand Mr Kennedy’s shortcomings. Some the public are quite cognizant of…others more insidious. It is quite easy to investigate his anti-science views in many publications. As a Registered Nurse and a Certified School Nurse for well over 25 years, I am outraged by this nomination. Should he be nominated, he will be IN CHARGE OF The CDC, NIH and FDA! Really? Frightening. His appearance during both sessions was poor with clear lack of knowledge of the workings of such an enormous Cabinet Position. When asked to define the three parts of Medicare, Mr Kennedy could NOT accurately answer the simplest Parts A, B and C. Mr Kennedy is a Trump Loyalist. Not a loyalist to science, education, policy, nor human beings. Blaming Autism on childhood vaccines is BAD SCIENCE. It is harmful and impedes further research. His actions in Samoa are inexcusable and his racist references in his publications despicableIn closing, Mr Kennedy is THE WRONG CHOICE. HOW CAN HE ACCOUNT FOR THE THOUSANDS of youngsters on the Autism Spectrum (Neurodiversity) who did not get any vaccines for numerous reasons…. As Senator Lloyd Bentsen told Dan Quayle IN VP debate many years ago….(and I modified)…. ‘YOU, Sir, are no ‘Bobby’ Kennedy. Pamela Barnes,RN, M.
