Shoplifting At Two Wall ShopRite Stores Leads To Arrests
Wall police release a weekly report of criminal incidents in the township.
WALL, NJ — Police have been investigating shoplifting at two township ShopRite stores and have made arrests, they said.
Following a shoplifting investigation at the ShopRite on Route 34, Patrolman James Yannazzone arrested a Brick resident, 55, for shoplifting an unspecified amount of merchandise.
On Feb. 15, Patrolman Hunter Manning arrested a Belmar resident, 61, for shoplifting after it was found that the person stole merchandise from ShopRite on Route 35 on two occasions.

In both cases, the suspects were processed and released on a summonses pending court dates.

- Feb. 12: Patrolman Tim Margadonna conducted a welfare check on a motor vehicle on Route 35, resulting in the arrest of a Wall resident, 62, for driving while intoxicated. The driver was processed and released per John’s Law.
- Feb. 14: Patrolman Tyler Martin arrested a New Egypt resident, 27, following a motor vehicle stop on Route 34. The person was found to have two active warrants, one from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department and the other from the East Orange Police Department. During the motor vehicle stop, the person hindered apprehension after providing false information to Martin and was subsequently charged for the same. The person was transferred to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.
- Feb. 17: Patrolman Megan Alexander arrested an area man driving while intoxicated after conducting a motor vehicle stop on Belmar Boulevard. The person was processed and released in accordance with John’s Law.
- Feb. 18: Following a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Kevin Donegan on Route 18, a man whose place of residence was not reported was arrested for driving while intoxicated, then processed and released per John’s Law.
