Wall Recycling Centers Won’t Accept Grass Anymore: What To Know

Here's where to dispose of your grass clippings (and other yard waste) in Wall Township:

WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ - Homeowners in Wall Township will have to look elsewhere to dump grass clippings after a fresh lawn manicure.

According to a municipal notice posted to the township’s social media on Monday, recycling centers in Wall Township will no longer be accepting grass clippings. Instead, residents are instructed to dispose of grass clippings in township-issued trash containers.

As part of the same notice, the township reminded residents that bamboo and dirt is not accepted at township recycling centers or during curbside brush pickup.

Instead, residents can bring bamboo to the Monmouth County Reclamation Center (600 Asbury Road, Tinton Falls).

Other brush materials barred during pickup include corn stalks, hay bales, leaves, sod, pine needles and lumber products, per the township’s 2023 public works guide. A thrice-yearly leaf pickup will be available in April, November and December.
