Wall Woman Hit, Seriously Injured Crossing Route 35
The woman was hit by a car while trying to cross Route 35 on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

WALL, NJ — A woman was hit while trying to cross Route 35 in Wall on Wednesday, according to the Wall Township Police Department.
The 25-year-old Wall Township woman was hit by a car driven by another 84-year-old woman from Wall in front of 1916 Route 35, police said.
The pedestrian was seriously injured and taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center by Wall Township Emergency Medical Services and paramedics from Hackensack Meridian.

The incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. The 84-year-old was driving a Nissan Altima on State Highway 35, police said.
Route 35 was shut down between Allaire Road and Wall Church Road for approximately three
hours while the collision was investigated. West Belmar Fire Department also responded to provide on-scene support.

The collision is currently being investigated by the Wall Township Police Department, Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team.
