WALL, NJ — Allaire Community Farm brings back for a third year its popular Old-Fashioned Christmas at the farm, starting Friday, Nov. 24.

The holiday light show show, a fundraiser for the nonprofit organization, continues every Thursday to Sunday until Dec. 23, taking place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

All proceeds raised from the event will help keep the farm running through the winter months, farm co-founder JoAnn Burney says.

Allaire Community Farm has three pillars for its mission, Burney said: rescuing animals; helping special needs young adults and teens with mental health issues; and helping veterans with PTSD.

You can learn about all the farm's programs at its website, including about a petting zoo, agricultural training programs, a carriage riding program for veterans and more.

This holiday celebration is returning for the third year with some new attractions.

This year, in addition to the Christmas village and magical light displays, train and wagon rides will be available around the farm and the indoor and outdoor petting zoos will be open.

Holiday movies will be playing throughout each evening, a model train setup will be on display in the train depot, and every night from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Santa will stop by for pictures and to help spread the holiday cheer.

“We are excited to bring this holiday tradition back to the farm – and this year it’s even bigger and better,“ said Burney, who runs the nonprofit with her husband Sean. “There are so many wonderful places to see Christmas displays this time of year – but ours is more than just a beautiful celebration of the season. This event helps to keep our farm running through the winter – so everyone who buys a ticket is helping us fulfill our mission to the populations we serve.”

In the last two years, nearly 30,000 people have come to this holiday celebration, making it the farm’s biggest annual fundraiser, Burney notes.

General admission to an Old-Fashioned Christmas on the Farm & Walk-Through Light Show is $10 for adults and $6 for kids under 18 (children under 1 are admitted free of charge). Additional tickets for train rides ($3), wagon rides ($3) and feed bags ($3) will also be available for purchase. For more details, please visit here.
