Trapped Driver Rescued By Firefighters In King George Road Crash In Warren
King George Road remains closed on Tuesday for emergency road and utility work.
WARREN, NJ — A trapped driver was rescued by volunteer firefighters in Warren following a crash on King George Road on Monday.
The road remains closed on Tuesday between Washington Valley Road and Ferguson Road for emergency road and utility work.
On Monday, Mt. Bethel Fire Company responded to a motor vehicle accident entrapment with a transformer fire on King George Road with live wires down.

Firefighters found that the driver was unable to get out of the vehicle.
"Crews had to carry all necessary tools and equipment up the hill to access the scene safely, then extricated the driver in under 10 minutes," according to Mt. Bethel Fire Company. "Crews remained on scene for several hours after the incident due to live power lines arcing and on fire on the roadway."

King George Road is expected to remain closed into Tuesday afternoon, said Warren Township Police in an alert.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area and follow detours.
