ICYMI: NJ American Water: No More Chlorine in Water
After using chlorine in a maintenance program, the water company is returning to disinfecting water with chloramines.

If you have noticed a chlorine taste or odor in Warren’s water, fear not, because that will soon be gone.
New Jersey American Water announced it will return to treating water with chloramines (a mixture of chlorine and ammonia) to disinfect water at its Canal Road and Raritan Millstone Water Treatment plants beginning April 15.
The water company used chlorine for several months as part of its system maintenance. The three-month change, which began in mid-January, allowed New Jersey American Water to perform maintenance on its chemical feed systems and remove any residual ammonia from the water distribution system.
