NY Red Bulls Player, Warren Native To Appear At Playa Bowls

Playa Bowls is hosting Daniel Edelman and giving customers a chance to win a signed Red Bulls jersey and 2 tickets to a home game.

WARREN, NJ — New York Red Bulls Midfielder Daniel Edelman will be appearing at Playa Bowls Warren on Sunday, June 1.

Warren native, and Watchung Hills High School graduate Edelman currently plays as a midfielder with the New York Red Bulls. He signed his first professional soccer contract with the team in 2021.

From 4 to 5 p.m., Edelman will be coming to Playa Bowls Warren, at 194 Liberty Corner Road, for a meet-and-greet, where he'll make some Nutella bowls, take pictures with fans, and sign custom t-shirts.

The first 50 customers will get a custom t-shirt and there will be a grand prize for one lucky guest who will receive a signed Red Bulls jersey and two tickets to a home game at Red Bulls Stadium.

"We wanted to host this event to boost our business a bit and connect Dan with some of the local soccer players in the community, so they could see that if a local boy could become a professional soccer player, there's a chance for them, too," said Owner of Playa Bowls in Warren Katelyn Calvo, whose family has lived in town for almost 20 years.

Calvo's brother Lenny grew up playing soccer with Edelman, who is a genuine fan of Playa Bowls and orders all the time, said Calvo.
