Pet Registration And Licensing For 2023 Now Open In Warren

All dogs and cats must be licensed annually by the end of the month Warren Township officials said in a statement.

WARREN, NJ - Warren-area pet owners are mandated to license their four-legged friends this month or face late fees, township officials said.

All dogs and cats in the township must be licensed by Jan. 31, municipal officials said in a statement. After February 1, late fees will be charged every month a pet is not licensed.

“In order to protect our community, because unlicensed and unvaccinated pets are a public health concern, the township is increasing its enforcement of state and local laws requiring licenses, including increasing late fees to encourage prompt licensing and issuing summonses for failure to license,” Warren officials said in a Wednesday statement.

“Prevent animal emergencies and avoid further action by the Health Department by licensing your pets now.”

Proof of an up-to-date rabies inoculation must also be provided in order to acquire this year’s pet license. proof of rabies must be valid thru October 31, 2023.
