Runaway Horses Seen Heading Toward Warren

Watchung residents reported seeing three horses running down Mountain Boulevard at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday—with several Watchung police officers giving chase.

The horses were reported heading towards Warren.

"I just passed them on my way home.," Laurie Mullen Wood posted on the Watchung Neighborhood Network Facebook page. "It was one big horse and two ponies. Craziest thing I have ever seen!"

Jennifer Netta said construction workers on a roadside jobsite were stunned: "You had to see the faces on the road construction workers and the police working the construction as the horses were trotting past them," she posted.
