WARREN, NJ — Multiple crashes were reported in Warren this week including a hit-and-run, a driver who fell asleep, and a driver who slid off the road due to slippery conditions.
On Sunday, Dec. 11 at 5:25 p.m., Warren Police reported a crash on Liberty Corner Road at Center 78 Way.
The driver, Sandra Smith, 76, of Warren, fell asleep, left the roadway and hit a traffic signal, said police.

As a result, the traffic signal was knocked down.
Smith was issued summonses for careless driving and her vehicle was towed from the scene.

On Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 8:53 p.m., a Warren Township resident reported a hit-and-run crash that had just happened 10 minutes prior on Hillcrest Boulevard.
The suspect's vehicle fled north on King George Road. Police found that the Warren driver was uninjured.
Police then went to the suspect's address in Berkely Heights and located the suspect, identified as 81-year-old Robert Darby, Jr., said police.
Summonses are pending.
On Thursday, Dec. 15 at 9:36 p.m., a crash was reported on Hillcrest Road at Route 78.
A 23-year-old Hillside man slid off the wet roadway while trying to take the eastbound Route 78 ramp, said police.
No summonses were issued and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
