Somerset County Woman Claims $437,818 Cash 5 Jackpot

Only one top-prize winning ticket was sold for Monday night’s Jersey Cash 5 drawing and one lucky Somerset County woman just claimed her $437,818 jackpot this morning.

Loretta Purnell, of Somerset, purchased the winning ticket at Quick Mart located on 921 Hamilton St. in Somerset.

Executive Director Carole Hedinger said the top prize-winning ticket was the only one sold for Monday’s drawing that matched all five numbers drawn.

The winning numbers were: 12, 17, 24, 28 and 29.

“We are pleased that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at Quick Mart,” said Hedinger. “For selling this ticket, the retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000. Overnight, it has become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”

Hedinger also noted that 4,513 other players won $109,909 in cash prizes in the Monday drawing.
