Somerset Hills Kennel Club Adds Pee Wee Showmanship to September 5th Dog Show

The Pee Wee class is geared for 
children ages 5 - 9 years of age. Safety is a primary concern. Each Pee Wee unit consists of the child, his/her parent, guardian, or responsible adult, and the dog. Only one Pee Wee
unit is in the ring at a time. This is not a competitive class, but rather a fun, learning experience for the child and the adult.


A dog must be at least four months of age to enter the Pee Wee class.
 Bitches in season will not be allowed to participate. If pre-entered, a dog may be substituted that meets the eligibility requirements as specified by the club. All dogs entered must have the proper lead and collar.

A responsible adult must be present with the child both inside and outside the ring. All AKC fully recognized and Miscellaneous group breeds are allowed to enter, including dogs with a PAL listing, as well
as FSS breeds not in the Miscellaneous group and All-American dogs. Dogs need not be AKC registered to participate.


Mixed breeds are welcomed.


The entry deadline has been extended to Friday, August 21, 2015. Entries can be downloaded at:

 A check, made out to Somerset Hills Kennel Club for $10.00 per entry, must be included.

The entry will be limited to 15 participants.

Entry confirmation will be e-mailed approximately one week before the show with judging time and ring number. A show photographer will be available to take individual photos of each child with the judge.

A group photo of all the youngsters will be take upon conclusions of the Pee Wee class, followed by a special “Pee Wee Party” with refreshments for all the participants generously sponsored by Johnny Shoemaker, AKC Delegate and Judge. Please note that dog shows are held rain or shine.
