Stolen Mail Leads To Arrest Of 2 Men In Warren Township
The men from Bronx, New York were found with mail from numerous residents throughout the area, said police.
WARREN, NJ — Two men were arrested and charged after police say they stole mail from mailboxes in Warren Township.
Jael Vargas, 23, of Bronx, New York, and Anderson Labadiematos, 24, of Bronx, New York, were both charged with third-degree receiving stolen property, Warren Township Chief of Police William E. Keane announced.
On Monday, Feb. 27, at around 12:25 p.m. the Warren Township Police received a 911 call, from a resident of Spencer Lane, reporting two people in a white sport utility vehicle stole mail from the streetside mailbox.

An investigation found the vehicle to be a newer model white Ford Explorer.
A short time later, Warren Township Police stopped a 2023 white Ford Explorer occupied by Vargas and Labadiematos on Washington Valley Road near Normandy Court, said Keane.

An on-scene investigation, police found evidence related to the mail theft from the 911 call and also mail from numerous other victims throughout the area, said Keane.
Previously on Friday, Feb. 24, a resident on Kenquit Road and a resident on Flintlock Road both reported mail missing to Warren Police.
Vargas and Labadiematos were placed under arrest, processed at police headquarters, and later released on their own recognizance with a pending Somerset County Superior Court date.
