Warren Police Step Up Patrols At Jewish Temple Ahead Of 'Day Of Hate'

Social media postings have drawn law enforcement attention nationally, Warren Township Police said, but no real threat has been found.

WARREN, NJ — Warren Township Police say they will be increasing patrol presence at a local Jewish synagogue following social media posts referencing a "National Day of Hate."

There have not been found to have any credible threats in Warren Township associated with social media posts circulating that reference a supposed "National Day of Hate" on Saturday, Feb. 25, said Warren Township Police Chief William Keane.

However, the police department is taking steps to be prepared just in case.

"While there have not been any credible threats made, the Warren Township Police plan to increase patrol presence at Temple Har Shalom throughout the weekend, and we have made them aware of the possible threat," said Keane.

Additionally, Keane said Warren Police will be actively monitoring the situation and ask residents, as always, if you see anything suspicious to report it immediately to 911 or to the non-emergency number at 908-753-1000.
