Warren Police Warn Locals To 'Drive Carefully' Due To Slippery Roads
A mix of winter weather is falling upon Warren which could cause hazardous conditions on township roadways.
WARREN, NJ — A mix of winter weather is falling upon Warren prompting Township Police to issue a warning to drivers.
"Please drive carefully due to the hazardous road conditions. Stay safe," said police in an alert around 1:30 p.m.
The combination of snow and rain will shift to rain by late Thursday. However, drivers may see slippery conditions on roadways into the evening commute.

By late Thursday, the Warren area will see plain rain, the National Weather Service says. The rain should increase in intensity during the evening, potentially flooding low-lying areas.

Thursday Afternoon: Rain. High near 40. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Thursday Night: Rain. Low around 39. Breezy, with an east wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Friday: Rain, mainly before 1 p.m. High near 45. Breezy, with a northeast wind 15 to 20 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Friday Night: A slight chance of rain before 1 a.m. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 31. West wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
