Warren Resident Loses $60,000 In Online Scam: Police
Warren Police also reported two vehicles were broken into while parked near East County Park on Monday afternoon.
WARREN, NJ — Online scams and burglaries to cars were reported on Monday in Warren Township.
At 12:32 p.m., a Deerwood Trail resident reported theft by deception. The resident said they following online prompts that appeared to be from their bank. The resident reported losing around $60,000, said Warren Police.
At 1:29 p.m., two vehicles parked on the Reinman Road side of the East County Preserve were burglarized. The windows were broken and various items including a purse and a backpack were taken, said police.

At 9:27 p.m., a Crown Drive resident reported he was the victim of fraud via an online scam. The resident transferred $6,035 to what appeared to be an eBay ad. It was not and he was unable to get his money back, said police.
