Warren Police Crackdown On Drunk Driving During Holidays

Warren Township Police received grant money for the enforcement as part of the holiday "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign.

WARREN, NJ — Warren Township Police are among 132 New Jersey police agencies participating in the year-end crackdown on impaired driving.

The annual "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" Year-End Holiday Campaign, running through Jan. 1, 2024, is aimed at reducing the potential for fatal and serious accidents on New Jersey roads by heightening awareness about impaired driving, according to Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin and the state Division of Highway Traffic Safety (HTS).

Last year, 69 people died in crashes involving an impaired driver between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve, officials said.
