Warren Township Receives Sustainable Jersey Grant
Sustainable Jersey grants are intended to assist community green teams as they lead and coordinate sustainability activities.

Warren Township was awarded a $2,000 Sustainable Jersey capacity-building grant, according to organization officials.
The Township received the grant, which is intended to assist ommunity green teams as they lead and coordinate the sustainability activities of their community, on April 1, according to a report from NJ.com. This is the second time in which Warren Township has been awarded a $2,000 grant from the organization.
According to the organization’s website, Sustainable Jersey, a non-profit, is a certification program for municipalities in New Jersey that want to go green, save money and take steps to sustain their quality of life over the long term.

“On behalf of the Township Committee, I extend the Township’s appreciation to Sustainable Jersey and the PSEG Foundation for the generous support they have extended to Warren,” Mayor Mick Marion said in the report from NJ.com. “This grant helps to fund signage and paper shredding for the April 25 Green Fair and Green Team activities for 2015.”
Since 2009, Sustainable Jersey has issued more than $1.7 million in grant money to New Jersey municipalities.
