Water Still Not Safe To Drink In Warren, Watchung Until Testing Complete
A mandatory boil water advisory remains in effect for the area following a water main break on Wednesday.
WARREN, NJ — Drinking water is still not safe in the Warren and Watchung area after a water main break on Wednesday.
A mandatory boil water advisory issued by New Jersey American Water remains in effect on Thursday as of 4 p.m.
"Per NJ American water they are still testing the water quality. It is currently not safe to drink until testing is completed," said Watchung Police in an alert.

The break was on Carrar Drive between Mountain Boulevard and Glen Eagle Drive in Watchung.

- Any water to be used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for 1 minute.
- Water is OK for bathing, washing, and other common uses.
Customers will receive another notification should additional action be required or conditions change, or when normal water use may be resumed.
