When Will the Snow Start In Warren, Elsewhere?

Get ready, Warren, and anybody else in New Jersey. The biggest storm of the season is heading this way Wednesday afternoon, with a chance of snow after 3 p.m. The storm is expected to severely impact rush hour commutes.
The National Weather Service has issued alerts saying patchy black ice is possible into the rush hour, since temperatures have fallen below freezing throughout New Jersey. The NWS has also issued a hazardous weather outlook for the region.
In Somerset County, temperatures will drop to about 22 degrees tonight, with new snow accumulation totaling 1 to 2 inches. According to the National Weather service, the snow will start to fall around 4 p.m. and conclude around 7 a.m.

Temperatures will hover around 28 degrees for most of Wednesday night, with an 80 percent chance of precipitation. Below you will find Somerset County’s anticipated weather on the hour forecast, courtesy of the NWS.

6 p.m.: 27 degrees.
9 p.m.: 26 degrees
12 a.m. 25 degrees
3 a.m.: 24 degrees
6 a.m.: 23 degrees
Snow stops at 7 a.m.
9 a.m.: 28 degrees.
12 p.m.: 34 degrees
As of Wednesday afternoon, Warren Public Schools have yet to report on school closings or delayed openings. Check back on Patch for updates and information on the storm and school closings.
The storm comes after a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain soaked the region on Sunday morning, and much of that rain and wetness froze on New Jersey roads on Monday.
The Outerbridge Crossing, the Bayonne Bridge and the Goethals Bridge connecting Staten Island and New Jersey, and the Walt Whitman, Ben Franklin and Betsy Ross bridges connecting Pennsylvania and New Jersey were all closed Sunday morning because of ice.
