Woman Indicted in Fatal October Warren Crash

22-year-old Annandale resident died as a result of injuries.

A Union woman was indicted Thursday in connection with an October Warren vehicle crash that led to the death of a 22-year-old man, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey D. Soriano.

A release by the prosecutor's office said a county grand jury returned a one-count indictment against defendant Amie Marrocelli, 38 of Union, for second-degree vehicular homicide in an alleged accident that resulted in the death of Steven Wall, 22 of Annandale. If convicted, Marrocelli faces up to 10 years in prison.

During the accident, which according to the release took place on Oct. 10, 2010 at approximately 7:56 p.m., Marrocelli allegedly was operating a 2011 BMW on 78 East in Warren on her way home from a wedding where she had allegedly consumed alcoholic beverages.

Marrocelli allegedly entered the center lane of travel, colliding with Wall's 1998 Subaru. The release said the crash caused both vehicles to exit the highway to the right, where Wall’s vehicle ultimately came to an uncontrolled rest against a tree.

Wall sustained blunt impact head injuries and died as a result of the crash the following day. The release said toxicology analysis revealed Marrocelli's blood alcohol content to be 0.087 percent, a concentration above the legal limit.
