2 Men Charged in String of NJ Burglaries
A pair of men have been charged in burglaries across several counties in New Jersey, including Somerset County.

One man was arrested in connection with a series of burglaries across several jurisdictions in New Jersey since 2014, authorities said.
Yahsiyn Thompson, 27, of Atlantic City, was arrested in the Atlantic City area on March 31 in connection with several burglaries at residences in five different New Jersey counties, according to the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office.
The second suspect, Levi Bailey, 30, is still at large, authorities said. He was described as 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighs 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Crime Stoppers of Hunterdon County is offering a reward up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest of Bailey, authorities said.

The two men were charged by a Hunterdon County Grand Jury with a 20-count indictment on March 26 for nine burglaries, nine thefts, one count of conspiracy and one count of attempted burglary.
“Levi Bailey and Yahsiyn Thompson, on diverse dates between August 8, 2014 and November 4, 2014, burglarized residences in Delaware Township, Clinton Township, East Amwell Township, Upper Freehold Township, Bernards Township, Hillsborough Township, Sparta Township, and Hope Township,” Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, said in a release.

Thompson was arrested and held in the Hunterdon County Jail on $50,000 bail.
The following agencies are part of the Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force investigating the burglaries: The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office N.J. State Police and municipal police of Clinton Township, Readington Township, Delaware Township, Hillsborough Township, Sparta Township, Montgomery Township, West Amwell Township, Bernards Township, Pleasantville and Atlantic City.
The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office urges anyone with information regarding the above mentioned crimes or the location of Bailey to contact their local police department or the Major Crimes Unit of the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s office at 908-788-1129.
