Annual Holiday Concert: Amani Celebrates At Watchung Arts Center

The Watchung Arts Center invites everyone to come and experience an uplifting musical night capturing the joy and love of the holiday season. Enjoy some holiday cheer by Amani on Saturday, December 11 at 8 PM.

Amani was formed to share the concept of peace through music, performing for people of all ages, races, and religious affiliations. Amani performs hits from a variety of genres including The Great American Songbook, Gospel, R&B, jazz, Bossa nova, and Broadway. This performance, of course, will include a selection of holiday favorites.

The members of the group are veteran musicians led by Marty Eigen on woodwinds, vocalist Stephen Fuller, pianist Fred Fischer, bassist Gene Perla, Gordon Lane on drums and Bill Ash on Trumpet.

This will be the 18th Annual Holiday visit to the WAC by Eigen, who has been a frequent contributor to the Center’s “JaZZ in the Gallery” series, with his Beacon Hill Jazz Band as well as with other noted jazz performers.

Tickets are $20 per person and must be purchased in advance. Tickets will not be sold at the door. All in-house events and performances will require proof of vaccination and masking.

The Watchung Arts Center, located at 18 Stirling Road in Watchung on the Watchung Circle, is a multi-disciplinary arts facility serving Watchung, the surrounding communities and the Tri-State Area.
