Man Arrested For Shooting At Person, Business On Route 22 In Somerset County: Prosecutor
Police say Naseem Eure, 20, of Plainfield, fired a gunshot at a person on the sidewalk, hitting a business on Route 22 with people outside.

WATCHUNG, NJ — A Union County man was arrested for firing a gunshot at a person on the sidewalk and hitting a business with other people outside on Route 22 in Watchung in March.
Naseem Eure, 20, of West 4th Street, Plainfield, was arrested and charged with first-degree attempted murder, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and third-degree endangering another person, announced Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald.
On March 17, at around 9:39 p.m., Watchung Police officers responded to a 911 call reporting gunshots at a business located on Route 22 West.

Officers saw evidence of gunshot damage to the building of the business.
An investigation by detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Watchung Police Department revealed that a vehicle approached a person who was walking on a sidewalk outside the business.

The passenger door of the vehicle opened, and a shot was fired, said authorities.
"There were other patrons outside of the business at the time of the shooting. No injuries were reported because of the shots fired," said McDonald.
As a result of this investigation, Eure was identified as the passenger of the vehicle.
On June 2, Eure was arrested in Plainfield without incident. Eure was taken to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office where he was processed.
Eure was lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a court hearing on this matter.
McDonald thanked members of the Plainfield Police Department for their help with this investigation.
