Road Closures Continue In Watchung Through July 1 For Drainage Work

Road closures continue through July 1 in Watchung as crews work on New Providence Road (CR 655), the borough said​.

WATCHUNG, NJ — Road closures continue through July 1 in Watchung as crews work on New Providence Road (CR 655), the borough said.

On Wednesday, June 22 and Thursday, June 23 there is a full road closure from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a detour in effect.

On Friday, June 24, there will be single lane closures and alternating traffic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Workers will follow that same 9-4 schedule from Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1.

Resurfacing will be completed approximately 1-2 months after drainage work is done.

Google Maps shows the closure is from Bonnie Burn Road up until Valley Road.
