Watchung Borough Receiving Flat State Aid

Watchung Borough is scheduled to receive flat state aid for the 2013 calendar year, according to numbers released from the state.

Watchung will receive $700,092, the same as in calendar year 2012.

At this point, Watchung has not introduced its 2013 budget, but will in the next few weeks, and is required by the state to approve one around the end of April.

In 2012, , with a tax rate of $0.499 per $100 in assessed value.

The budget included funding for borough road projects, new dispatch systems and more.
