Boy, 16, Shot Sunday Afternoon In Passaic County: Prosecutor

Police found the teen victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his body, officials said.

PATERSON, NJ — Officials are investigating a Sunday afternoon shooting in Paterson that left a teen boy injured.

Police were dispatched on a report of a shooting at approximately 2:39 p.m. on March 24 near the area of 12th Avenue and Auburn Street in Paterson, said Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes.

Paterson Police Department officers found the 16-year-old victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his body, Valdes said. First responders transported him to St. Joseph's University Medical Center for non-fatal gunshot wounds.
