Burger King Burglarized By North Jersey Duo, Cops Say

Police said the pair broke into the restaurant by forcing open the drive-thru window.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Two men have been arrested for stealing from a Passaic County Burger King restaurant, police said.

The incident happened on Oct. 26, 2025, after authorities discovered that the Burger King on Belmont Avenue had been broken into after hours.

Police said that the chain restaurant’s drive-thru window had been forced open, and a safe containing money had been stolen. Additionally, several security cameras within the store had been tampered with.

Just days later, authorities found Marcano driving the Acura and discovered him to have an outstanding warrant for possession of burglary tools.

He was arrested for the Burger King heist and charged with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief.

It wasn’t for several months, up to this past Monday, when police found Marcano’s partner in crime, Savion Ambert, also 24, also from Paterson, authorities said.

Following further investigation, Ambert voluntarily showed up to the Haledon Police Department and confessed to his role in the crime, police said.

Ambert was charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and possession of burglary tools.
