DePaul Catholic Running Back Commits to Ohio State University During Halftime

Kareem Walker had offers from over 25 schools, including the University of Oregon.

Congratulations are in order for another Buckeye.

Making his commitment to the newly crowned College Football National Champions was DePaul Catholic High School’s Kareem Walker, who made his verbal commitment to the Ohio State University via Twitter during halftime.

“Proud to announce that I will be furthering my education and football career at THE Ohio State University. #Buckeyes,” Walker tweeted at 10:18 p.m.

Walker, a running back who has won back to back Non-Public Group 2 State Titles, had offers from over 25 other schools, including the number 2 team, the University of Oregon.

But Walker still has one more year left with the DePaul Catholic Spartans before he can officially sign with the Buckeyes next February.
