Driver Dead After Weekend Crash On Passaic County Highway
State police records show the crash happened along Route 46, just after midnight on Saturday morning.
CLIFTON, NJ — A driver died in a crash along Route 46 early Saturday morning, according to New Jersey State Police statistics.
The crash took place at around 12:12 a.m. within Clifton city limits. Local officials have not yet released any information on the identity of the driver, or exactly where on Route 46 the crash occurred.
State Police keep record of all fatal crashes on their website. The site lists the time and location, as well as basic information on if a driver, passenger, bicyclist, or pedestrian was killed in a particular crash.

The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office referred questions to Clifton Police, who did not immediately reply to a request for more information.
This is the fourth fatal crash in Clifton so far this year, and the 23rd in Passaic County overall.
