5 Wayne Residents Running For Passaic County Offices In June Primary
Three Wayne residents are running for sheriff, and two others for county commissioner. See the candidates below:

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Wayne voters may see some familiar names on the ballot when they head to the primaries this June and again in November, as several township residents are running for county office.
There will be a contested primary for the Democratic candidate for Passaic County Sheriff, and in both parties for the commissioners' races on Tuesday, June 4. The deadline for candidates to file a nomination petition for the primary election was Monday at 4 p.m.
In the race for Passaic County sheriff, Democratic Party voters will choose between former sheriff Jerry Speziale Jr. and current sheriff’s office chief Thomas Adamo, while Republican Party voters will see Detective Captain Marla Saracino of the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office on the ballot. All three are Wayne Township residents.

There are three seats for the Passaic County Board of Commissioners up for grabs this year. Speziale has three running mates vying for a spot on the ballot in November, including Wayne resident Sean Duffy. They will go up against current Commissioner Director (and Wayne resident) John Bartlett, Commissioner Sandi Lazzara, and Rodney A. DeVore who are backed by the county Democratic Organization.
On the Republican ticket, the Passaic County Regular Republican Organization’s chosen trio of candidates will compete for votes against three candidates who are running with the “America First Conservative” ticket.
