Hawthorne Man Stole $1.3K In THC Products From Bergen Vape Shop: Cops

Police in a neighboring town had been investigating the shoplifting incident for almost two months.

HAWTHORNE, NJ — Police charged a Hawthorne man with shoplifting $1,300 worth of THC products from a smoke shop in neighboring Glen Rock.

The theft happened Jan. 19 at Glen Rock Smoke Shop on Rock Road, police in the Bergen County borough said.

A Glen Rock detective arrested 28-year-old Ashari Wilson on March 13, and officials say he was involved in taking the cannabis products from the store without paying. Hawthorne Police also helped in the investigation and arrest.

Wilson was taken to the Bergen County Jail.

THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is a psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant.
