WAYNE, NJ — A 91-year-old North Jersey man has died after being involved in a serious crash on I-80 in Wayne earlier this week, state police said.

Troopers said Francisco Crespo was westbound on Monday afternoon around 3 p.m., when he lost control near milepost 52.8 in Wayne and ran off the roadway to the left.

Crespo struck the center median and his Toyota pickup truck veered back onto the highway, police said. A westbound International tractor-trailer struck the pickup, which was forced back into the guardrail.
