NNJCF Awards Grant To Support Youth

The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation's (NNJCF) The DeAnna Stark Pasciuto Memorial Fund awarded a grant of $5,000 to the Wayne Council of PTOs to support local youth and provide for healthy and mindful opportunities with a generational impact.

This support includes a new climbing playground at the Packanack Elementary School, a public school in the Wayne Township Public Schools Systems, serving the students in preschool to fifth grade from the suburb of Packanack Lake.

The Wayne Council of PTOs, a non-profit organization, works with 15 local school PTO chapters. The organization initiates, promotes and sponsors its students; implements policies and by-laws; and encourages communication and participation between parents and the school to bring the community closer together.

The NNJCF, a regional not-for-profit foundation headquartered in Hackensack, New Jersey, undertakes a mission to improve community life through its work in the arts, civic engagement, education, the environment, public health, and philanthropy.

For nearly 25 years, the Foundation has served northern New Jersey bringing people and organizations together to address pressing issues and needs in the region. With a comprehensive menu of philanthropic opportunities, the NNJCF provides donors with flexible, efficient, and tax-effective ways to ensure their charitable giving has maximum impact through various types of funds, tax-saving annuities, and trust options.

The NNJCF's DeAnna Stark Pasciuto Memorial Fund contributes to qualified charitable organizations for cancer research, families touched by cancer, and scholarships for female student-athletes looking to pursue medical careers. The public can continue DeAnna Stark Pasciuto's legacy with a donation in her memory. Contributions are tax-deductible, as permitted by law.
