North Jersey Man Sexually Assaulted Teen Girl Twice, Prosecutor Says
A North Jersey man was charged last week in connection with several sexual assaults committed against a 15-year-old girl, authorities said.

PATERSON, NJ - A North Jersey man was charged last week in connection with several sexual assaults committed against a 15-year-old girl, authorities said.
Kenyatta Lighty, 44, of Paterson, was charged with third degree endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of fourth degree criminal sexual contact, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said in a statement.
Lighty was arrested Friday following an investigation conducted by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.

Lighty is accused of assaulting the teen on two separate occasions between July 2021 and July 2022, Valdes said.
If convicted, Lighty would be subject to Megan’s Law registration requirements and parole supervision for life.

The sentencing exposure on a third degree endangering the welfare of a child is three to five years in New Jersey State Prison; on fourth degree criminal sexual contact, it is up to 18 months in state prison, Valdes said.
