Passaic Co. Driver Killed On Side Of New York Highway
Officials said the 55-year-old was outside his car inspecting damage from a minor collision, when another driver struck and killed him.
PATERSON, NJ — A Paterson man died after being struck by an SUV while inspecting his car along I-87 in New York, according to officials.
New York State Police said 55-year-old Saul Clark was involved a minor accident between exits 12 and 13 in West Nyack, shortly before 10 p.m. on Tuesday. Clark got out of his vehicle to look at the damage and the southbound driver of a 2018 Ford SUV hit him, police said.
Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene from his injuries, according to NYSP. Police did not say if the SUV driver, a Nyack woman, faces any charges.

Officials will continue to investigate the collision. State police are asking anyone who may have witnessed what happened to contact the New York State Police Middletown at 845-344-5300, and reference RMS number NY2400835824.
